L3C Structure
U-CAN is a Low-Profit Limited Liability Company (L3C) registered in Vermont. This designation means our primary mission is social impact, not maximizing profit. It allows us to pursue program-related investments and grants while keeping our operations lean and mission-focused.
Network-Driven Model
Instead of maintaining a large, expensive staff, U-CAN assembles project-specific teams from a nationwide network of hundreds of affiliated sustainability professionals. This crowd-sourcing model means you get exactly the expertise you need, with costs incurred only per project — keeping overhead low and quality high.
